Hydrogen Car Revolution

Hydrogen commercials from BMW

(Note: To learn more about hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and their potential to solve the oil crisis, please read the series of articles titled “Twelve Hydrogen Facts” which is part of the Hydrogen Manhattan Project.)

Two commercials from BMW for their Hydrogen 7 car are posted below.  The first has been on television in the U.S. over the past couple of weeks.  The second is longer than a typical commercial at 1 minute and 40 seconds.

BMW is taking a different approach with their prototype hydrogen vehicles.  The Hydrogen 7 car has an internal combustion engine that runs on liquid hydrogen.  Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and GM use fuel cells with high-pressure hydrogen stored at either 5000 or 10,000 pounds per square inch (psi).
